Not long been back from my 3 nights guesting with Benn Oconnor and Barry Oconnor down at Fryerning Fisheries in Essex

Ben stole the show with one carp, at 40.12lb, while Barry had two small double figure catfish. I blanked, but it did look good for a bite on my last night, only one other carp out which was a stunning scaley mirror at 33lb.

If I put a bit more effort in, perhaps moved swims or tried a different approach then perhaps I’d be smiling like the cat that got all the cream, but you live and learn. Must say had a great time with the Oconnors, and the other anglers I spoke to all seemed a nice bunch. Stunning fishery, just wish it was on my door step.
